Here we have another large beech reduction in the village of Evenley near Brackley. The streets over head power lines, (OHPLs) run directly through the centre of the tree so in order to be able to safely access the tree and work near these lines we consulted with Western Power Distribution the local network Operator (NO) on behalf of our clients, and arranged a temporary power shutdown.
We were given a relatively short amount of time within the day to reduce the crown of this beech by Western Power due to the constraints they have upon them as the NO to keep the power live so we employed our 3 lead climbers in the task taking a 1/3 of the crown each. We finished on schedule. See the result below;
