This large standard beech tree is approximately 400-450cm in height, 20-25 cmg contained in a 160 litre pot. Due to the size of the tree and the weight of the large root ball we needed to use our small 4X4 crane truck to transport and off load the plant. The perfect tool for the job.
We positioned the tree inside the pre dug hole with the crane and then back filled with a mixture of new topsoil and tree compost. An irrigation hose was added and a tree of this size needs a good strong stake, we used the standard double staking method as you can see in the second photo.
As a completed project the tree adds a valuable natural structural element to it.
